Inuksuk

Terms of use

Last updated : 2026-09-12

1. What the service is

Inuksuk lets a technician take remote control of a computer in order to support its user. You are the technician; you alone decide which computers you connect to, and you answer for those connections.

2. Consent is mandatory

Before every remote session, you must have the free and informed authorization of the person who uses the computer, and of its owner where they are not the same person. That authorization must be obtainable on request.

Installing the permanent service on a computer whose user has not been informed of it is a breach of these terms, whoever owns the machine.

3. Prohibited uses

The following are forbidden, and each is on its own sufficient ground for immediate termination:

4. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or permanently ban an account, without notice, where we have reasonable grounds to believe these terms have been breached, or where continued use would expose a third party to harm. A ban blocks sign-in; the reason is shown to the account holder.

An account terminated for breach gives no right to a refund of the current period. If you believe the decision is wrong, write to contact@inuksuk.io: it will be re-examined, and reversed if it was mistaken.

Where the law requires it, we may retain and hand to the competent authorities the connection records relating to a reported abuse.

5. Reporting an abuse

If you believe a computer has been accessed through Inuksuk without authorization, write to contact@inuksuk.io. State the computer, the date and what you observed. Reports are examined.

6. Your own responsibility

You keep your password to yourself and are responsible for everything done from your account. Tell us immediately if you believe it has been compromised.

7. Availability and liability

The service is provided as is. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we are not liable for the consequences of an operation carried out by a technician on a client's computer.

8. Changes

These terms may change; the date above says when. A change that materially reduces your rights is announced to account holders before it takes effect.
